Royal Vegas, one of the oldest and most well-respected online brands from the Fortune Lounge Group, is getting a make-over. The site and casino software will undergo a visual transformation, stressing that customers will still receive their usual dose of enjoyment.
The Royal Vegas casino, which first opened its virtual doors in 2000, will launch a new look and feel for its website tomorrow (August 27, 2008). The re-branding will aim to make the site and casino a more streamlined experience while taking on a vibrant new look.
Redesigning the site has also been done with the eye on improving multi- language support and user-friendliness across the site: whether players are newcomers to online gambling or old hands ready for new deals. Absolute Poker is a popular online casino poker gambling site that is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and runs out of Canada. Also, the company is now owned by Tokwiro Enterprises and has run into several major problems in the past year regarding a huge cheating scandal that rocked the international online casinos industry. Although the current ownership of Absolute Poker is well known and not up for debate, the reliable and respected Gambling 911 news portal released information this week that calls into question who exactly founded and funded Absolute Poker in its early stages. Additionally, the portal claimed that not only was Phil Tom an initial investor for the site but that he had a sealed indictment in the United States for a period of time.
There was no precise information in the Gambling 911 article to indicate what exactly Tom might have been indicted for, but perhaps the site was implying charges related to the online casino gambling industry? Tom was outraged by the report and is considering legal action against Gambling 911 because of the false speculation. Tom claims that the most outrageous part of the article were the claims about a sealed U.S. indictment and he noted, I don’t know what I’d be indicted for! How do they know what’s in the supposed indictment? It’s sealed!” Apparently, the speculation and rumors about Tom’s indictment have gotten out to his clients and has the potential to seriously hurt his business as a portfolio manager.
Tom cleared the air and voiced his side of the story with the Poker Daily News and according to claims directly from Tom, he has no direct interests in the online casino poker gambling site Absolute Poker, nor did found and fund the launch of the site – he “vehemently” denied those accusations.

Roulette
In roulette there are a lot of different money management systems. And every a little bit lucky gamer always says that his own system is the best. But it is not always so. In roulette there are no guarantees. Trying to find a good money management system is the same as trying to find the perpetual motion. It does not matter – do you use any system or not. Your expected loss is always about 2.703% of total wagered money (at French roulette) in a long playing time.
In conclusion let me remind you one anecdote. One student asked Albert Einstein, did he know any roulette system, which ensures 100% win. The answer was “Yes. To steal chips from the table when nobody sees it”.

Advertising is a key component to almost any business. When legislation was passed last September to allow companies to advertise their product the thought was that the online community would feel the effects.
A study done by the Gambling Commission in the UK has found that the advertising has had little, if no, impact for online gambling. The same amount of people are playing now as there was before the new laws.
The Commission claims that only 8.8 percent of people in the UK that were studied have participated in any form of online gambling. That figure is the same as it was in 2007, showing no change from the television ads.
The majority of people that were doing the online gambling were men between the ages of 18-44. There was an increase, however, from last year in the number of women who admitted to taking part in the online gaming.
Computers and hand held devices were the most popular among the gamblers, with 6.8 percent of the people admitting to using these devices while gambling. Mobile telephones were next with 2.3 percent using the phones to gamble online.

Online Casino Articles
So just where do online gamblig games get played out on a person’s screen clearly but where is the screen information sent from. Well the majority of online gambling sites are hosted offhsore for tax reasons. We have done a quick rundown of the main locations or perhaps we should call them the most reputable locations.
Aldreney is the most accpetable and widely used of the gaming jurisdictions around. They have a variety of bandwidth suppliers and severe rules and regulations as regards software testing. There are no restrictions on where Alderney operators can take bets from.
Costa Rica is regarded as being slighlty questionable, there are no software testing requirements for example. As regards bandwidth operators have to deal with a state monopoly.
Gibraltar is on the Uk white list as per Alderney, its another ginat in terms of the amount of market share it has gathered.
Isle of Man is on the UK white list - respectable perhaps too severe in its application of a regulated approach meant that it was prohibative to work from this territory when they legalised online gaming some years ago.
Kahnawake is an Indian reservation in Canada - due to the rights in the states for Indian tribes to use gaming to ensure the continuation of their traditions etc this is how the Mohawkes operate a massive server centre. They are not part of the UK white list and suffered some loss of business as a result.
Malta as its in the EU has been growing dramatically. This could become the biggest of the lot in time.
Netherland Antilles despuite the name quite a stand up location with some good regulations.
Panama sketchy details on this location only but regulations appear to be very light weight.
Tasmania as one would expect is heavily regulated.
United Kingdom the death knell for the UK was the decsion to charge heavily on taxes. Making the comparison between this location and Gibraltar and Alderney worthless. Most major high street brands have lept their web sites off shore as a result.
